Boys Camps Page Header

Established in 1999, the SFU Field Lacrosse Camps offer an accelerated level of instruction for experienced and developing lacrosse players who want to take their game to the next level.

Camp registration includes: SFU Lacrosse reversible practice jersey, and the chance to win SFU Lacrosse apparel / equipment. For specific information please call the SFU Lacrosse Office +1 (604) 917-0507 or email lacrosse@sfu.ca

The price for the “live-in” camps includes accommodation and 2 meals per day except on Saturday when 3 meals (breakfast/lunch/dinner) are included. Campers will stay in the SFU Tower Residences; all rooms are single-occupancy units.

Live-in Overnight Camps

After a challenging day on the field, campers experience campus life as they enjoy a wide range of activities that includes swimming, gym games and more.


BOY’S RISING STARS


This overnight camp is designed to challenge players in an individual and team-learning environment in order to gain a thorough understanding of fundamentals and advanced performance skills. Instructors will provide an in-depth level of player-specific feedback in order to identify participant strengths and weaknesses. Daily competition and simulated game situations will allow every player to utilize the skills they have learned in specialty game situations.

BOY’S MIDDLE SCHOOL


This overnight camp is designed to refine and enhance the skills of participants in a fun and positive environment. Athletes will gain a firm understanding of field lacrosse through a wide range of challenging drills and simulated game experiences. Players will continue to develop important techniques such as passing and catching with both hands, ball protection, shooting technique, offensive movement and defensive tactics. Participants will build confidence in their abilities while encouraging the growth of player strengths and the improvement of their weaknesses.

Commuter Camps


BOY’S YOUNG GUNS


This day camp is designed to introduce young athletes to the game of Field Lacrosse. Drills are both fun and rewarding, as players will build upon basic fundamentals to learn new skills such as passing and catching with both hands, ball protection, shooting technique and dodges. A wide range of progressional drills and exercises will help each participant build confidence while encouraging the growth of individual skills and importance of Teamwork. *PLEASE NOTE: There will be no lunch break at this camp. Athletes should pack a light healthy snack and water bottle.
